About AniMotion NM
The concept has been in the works for a while, but it all came together at the MISP conference this past January. It's time for the launch of AniMotion NM! AniMotion NM will serve as a community for New Mexico's animators, motion graphic artists, VFX artists, sound designers, and broadcast designers. Meetings will serve to educate and as a means to network.
Long term goals include:
• to serve as a central clearinghouse for animators and motion graphic artists in NM
• to setup an informational website at www.animotionNM.com
• to create an online directory, listing all statewide animation and motion graphic resources on the website
• to help facilitate mentorship opportunities
• to encourage youth animators
• Advocacy
• to ensure animation and motion graphics are included in the state rebate program
• request that the state sets up a program to provide salary rebates to companies who offer internships, or provide training for animators or motion graphic artists
It's your community! Here are ways you can be involved:
• attend events/meetings
• volunteer to help with the organization
• speak at one of the meetings on your favorite topic
